The 2016 ALPMA/Crowe Horwath New Zealand Legal Industry Financial Performance Benchmarking Study survey was conducted in September - November, 2016. More than forty firms from across New Zealand participated in the study.

Over 160 law firms from across the region participated in this research, conducted in July 2016, and the results make fascinating reading. A key finding was a real disconnect between how innovative firms think they are and what they are actually doing in terms of investment in strategic initiatives

Sixty-Nine New Zealand law firms from across the country, employing 2,033 people, completed the survey.

In 2016, 252 Australian law firms from across Australia, employing 10,153 people completed the survey.

In 2015 more than 100 firms participated in the study. Participants will be provided with a log-in to Open Measures, Crowe Horwath's powerful benchmarking tool, to interrogate their results and visualise their performance to similar firms across eight key performance indicators on 23 February, 2016.

The 2015 law firm marketing and business development research focused on understanding how well law firms are responding to the challenge of winning work in a digital world. The research explored which marketing and BD techniques (old and new) help law firms attract new clients and win new work, with a particular focus on identifying the most successful marketing and BD activities for generating new business enquiries.
