We have all noticed an increase in attempted cyber fraud since we started working remotely. Many of us may have even unwittingly fallen for a sophisticated ruse. It takes more than just spotting the spelling mistakes in an email to decide what is real and what is not these days.
The LPLC is an independent statutory authority that has been providing professional indemnity insurance to Victorian barristers and solicitors since 1986. They have an in-depth understanding of how Victorian law firms operate and the unique areas of risk in practice management of law firms.

Stephen was appointed as risk manager by LPLC in January 2016. He has over 30 years’ experience in private practice and understands the challenges that practitioners face. He helps practitioners identify practice risks and implement practical strategies to mitigate them. Part of his role includes presenting the risk management module to practitioners seeking a principal practicing certificate.
Stephen has a strong focus on the benefits that legal practitioners can achieve from good legal practice management.
Prior to joining LPLC in January 2020, Alix worked in private practice for 16 years, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance and professional indemnity litigation, including as a Panel Solicitor for LPLC. Alix brings to LPLC broad and extensive litigation and dispute resolution experience.
Susie Jones is CEO of Cynch Security, an Australian-owned and managed Cyber Security firm that offers software-as-a-service cyber solutions designed specifically for micro and small business owners. Prior to co-founding Cynch, Susie obtained her double Commerce/Arts degree from the University of Melbourne and began her career at Marsh and Willis before changing course to join Australia Post in their Risk & Compliance team. Her last role prior to Cynch was Head of Cyber Security Business Solutions at Auspost. Susie is an expert at translating complex cyber security and risk content into non-technical language for business leaders across all industries.
