Sharon manages our close knit dedicated team at Legal People and heads up our  Lawyer  and  Management & HR  divisions. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Accounting and Management (Human Resources) from the University of Melbourne and she is also a Chartered Accountant.

Nitsa Brown
People and Culture Manager at Holman Webb Lawyers

Nitsa Brown joined Holman Webb Lawyers as People and Culture Manager in March 2023.  Nitsa is a Certified Practitioner with the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) and is an experienced Human Resources Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the legal services industry.  Nitsa has a strong background in HR, Finance and general Practice Management, and solid experience in executing and implementing strategic workforce strategies to achieve desired business objectives.  She is a member of ALPMA, The Australian Legal Sector HR Association and the Australian HR Institute (AHRI).

Nitsa loves travelling and experiencing different cultures. In 2001, she made Australia her home after residing in South Africa, the USA, and Greece. She is also the proud mother of two daughters, Charlotte  (15) and Lauren (11).

Rajan Verma
Director at Velocity Legal

Rajan Verma is a Director at Velocity Legal, a law firm that he and three colleagues started from the cramped confines of an office the size of a shoebox back in 2016.

Since then, the firm has grown to a team of more than 40.

Rajan is a tax lawyer by trade, but he has played a key role in helping Velocity Legal to become the firm that it is today.

Steven Milicevic

Steven Milicevic has extensive legal experience in sports, IT, franchising, and retail. He has a solid corporate background, having been a Board member for several organisations, including as a Company Secretary and General Counsel for an ASX-listed group of companies.

Liz Aitken

Liz was previously a partner at a national mid-tier law firm. She has held a range of executive and board positions for professional associations, including Victorian Women Lawyers and the Law Institute of Victoria’s Workplace Relations Section.

In 2015, Liz was named Young Gun of the Year at the Australian Women in Law Awards.

In 2018, she was recognised by the Australian Financial Review as the youngest partner appointed among participating Australian law firms.

Luke Byrnes
Law Graduate at Thomson Geer

Luke is a recent graduate from the University of Melbourne where he completed both Bachelor of Commerce and Juris Doctor degrees. Throughout his law studies he worked at boutique commercial law firm, Nicholas O’Donohue and Co.

He is a current Law Graduate at national mid-tier commercial law firm, Thomson Geer, where he is currently rotating through the Disputes – Insolvency team. He is a published author in the Insolvency Law Journal and recently presented at the National Wellness for Forum.
