The refresher course allow people who have previously completed a Mental Health First Aid course to refresh their knowledge and skills. The course also offers Accredited MHFAiders an opportunity to extend their accreditation for a further 3 years.
This course is a 2 x 2.5-hour virtual workshop session that teaches managers, supervisors and individuals how to assist a co-worker who might be developing a mental health problem or is experiencing a mental health crisis. This course is suitable for anyone who has completed a mental health first aid course within the past 3 years.
THIS COURSE WILL HELP YOU:
- Gain an understanding of the latest research in the mental health field
- Learn the 3 key actions for helping someone feeling suicidal
- Work through complex mental health first aid interactions
- Practice mental health first aid skills

I am a passionate and knowledgeable mental health trainer and facilitator. I love sharing valuable information and strategies to empower people to support others struggling with mental health issues. Whilst increasing the knowledge of how to improve their own mental health and well-being. It is constantly rewarding. I am honoured to be currently representing several of Western Australia’s most progressive mental health organisations.
I am a Licensed Master Instructor of the accredited Standard Mental Health First Aid course. I also hold accreditation in: Standard Mental Health First aid for Legal Professionals, Online Blended Mental Health First Aid training for Communities and the Workplace, The Standard Mental Health First Aid Refresher as well as the specialist courses; Engaging leaders, Conversations About Suicide and Conversations About Gambling.
I have significant experience in delivering Mental Health training, covering topics such as De-escalation skills, Being Trauma Responsive, Safe Professional boundaries, Grief and loss, Mental Health, alcohol and other drugs. I am equally comfortable delivering courses face to face or via online platforms, in both corporate and community-based environments. I bring passion, empathy, extensive knowledge and a high level of professionalism in all my training deliveries.
Prior to developing my training practice, I have significant experience working as a team leader in the Community Mental Health Sector in WA. Delivering and developing Mental Health Recovery programs across the state.
