Christmas Tips and Traps for EmployersAs we move towards the last quarter of the year, it is that time when workplace Christmas parties are being planned, and people begin looking forward to celebrating another (hopefully successful) year.
Christmas itself can present some unusual challenges for employers, and often employers are unsure as to what they can and cannot do in respect of requiring employees to take leave over the Christmas break. Christmas parties also present a number of risks to employers that are too often only thought about after the event.
In this webinar we will provide some practical tips on how to prepare ahead of time and to minimise Christmas related risks. We will look at:
- Christmas parties - what you can do to prepare for a successful party and how you can minimise your risk of a claim arising out of the event
- Business shut downs - when you can or cannot direct employees to take annual leave (or unpaid leave) over Christmas
- Lessons from the cases
Who should attend:
- Practice Managers
- HR Managers
- General Managers
- Managing Principals / Partners
This seminar will be recorded and made available in our On Demand library after the live event.
