How important is partner / director compensation in the management of organisational change and growth?

There is little doubt that principal compensation is a difficult bundle of issues.  Many large Australian firms utilise performance based compensation and have done so for some time.  Others are modifying their traditional lock steps to include performance based progression.  In smaller firms compensation remains closely tied to equity ownership regardless of performance.
During this session Dr Oakes will discuss,
•    Profit sharing options
•    The likely impact of various sharing arrangements on behaviour and performance
•    The potential for sharing methodology as a strategic enabler
•    Defining performance, what to measure and reward
•    Profit sharing issues for smaller firms (2 to 10 partners)

•    What’s in expanding these skill areas for the legal profession and for the practice managers
•    Influence, Negotiation and Persuasion – what these aspects mean and how to recognise what is needed in what context
•    Barriers to successful negotiations identified
•    Solutions and planning strategies to promote successful and sustainable negotiation outcomes
