As 2021 grinds along, with continuing lockdowns and disruptions due to COVID-19, we are all seeing the effects amongst our colleagues.
Linda's presentation will provide a deep understanding of burnout and compassion fatigue, an area we should familiarise ourselves with.
She shares her knowledge to address:
Linda Taylor is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work together with a Master of Social Work and is registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Linda has over seventeen years’ experience across a broad range of social work and counselling sectors, including emergency services & front-line workers, victims of crime, clients with PTSD, youth justice, family violence, sexual assault, refugee communities, Aboriginal communities, the ADF and veteran communities, the mental health and health sectors, international development, education, child protection and training and development.
In 2017, Linda started her own private practice, TaylorMade Counselling.
Her approachable and friendly nature allows clients to feel comfortable and at ease in the counselling space. Linda aims to provide clients with a safe environment to have life changing, meaningful and practical conversations. Linda’s passion for her work shines through to her clients.
During her free time, Linda enjoys getting in the boxing ring with her mate, Jesse White, who is a professional boxer and whom she now sponsors. They have been training together for 5 years. It does wonders for her own mental health. She enjoys travelling to developing countries and immersing herself in the different cultures of the world.
At the end of the day, Linda enjoys sharing a laugh and chat with friends with a good bottle of wine.
