Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager with a focus on Learning & Development to join our team and to help us consolidate our recent growth. This role is part-time, offering flexibility to work either during school hours over five days or reduced days per week. As a key member of our firm, you will operate in a stand-alone capacity, driving our employee career development through mentoring and learning and development initiatives. The role can be based in either our Balmain office or Scone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement learning and development program to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify training needs and help develop tailored solutions.
  • Manage HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Assist in expanding our HRIS system to get the most from it.
  • Provide guidance and support on HR policies and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Formal qualifications in HR.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a law firm, with a strong understanding of the legal industry.
  • Proven experience in a stand-alone HR role, with a focus on learning and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
