2024 Key Findings

Average wages in the New Zealand legal industry saw a rise of 4.7%, marginally above the national average wage growth of 4.3% and matching inflation.

Employment growth decelerated, with less than one in five law firms (38%) increasing their staff numbers, the lowest level in eight years.
